Shoplifter pulled knife on employee

A man who allegedly stole grocery items from a grocery store in Waterloo is accused of pulling a knife when he was confronted by an employee Thursday afternoon. Waterloo Regional Police said the man went to the Sobeys on Bridgeport Road and left the store with merchandise he didn’t purchase at about 2:20 p.m. An employee followed the man to his vehicle and the man threatened the employee with the knife, say police. The worker was not hurt.
