LOS ANGELES Stars celebrate Vanity Fair cover with Lena Waithe
Vanity Fair has made waves with its covers before. But never has the reaction been so positive. On Thursday, the magazine shared its April cover star: “Ready Player One” actress, “The Chi” creator and “Master of None” Emmy winner Lena Waithe. Twitter celebrated. The decision to feature a Hollywood up-and-comer and queer person of colour on the cover, was made by new VF editor Radhika Jones. “When I thought about the kind of person I’d like to see on the cover of Vanity Fair, I thought about Lena Waithe - a member of the new creative elite remaking entertainment for her generation,” Jones wrote. And Waithe, herself, tweeted love to all.
