Kindred Credit Union’s chief executive is retiring
KITCHENER — Kindred Credit Union’s chief executive officer will retire at the end of the year. Brent Zorgdrager has led the Kitchener-based financial cooperative since 2010. He joined the credit union as chief financial officer in 2007. He oversaw a rebranding which gave a new name, Kindred, to the former Mennonite Savings and Credit Union. A news release from the credit union said assets have grown to more than $1 billion under Zorgdrager’s leadership, making it the tenth largest credit union in the province, and membership has exceeded 22,000. Kindred said board of directors is expected to begin the search for a new chief executive next month.
