• Themuseum will host A Cultural Exchange 6.0 on May 15 at 7 p.m. All local candidates in the upcoming provincial election from Kitchener and Waterloo have been invited to attend and discuss the importance of arts and culture in Waterloo Region at Themuseum, 10 King St. W., Kitchener.

May 16

• Candidates Debate: PostSecond­ary Education as a Provincial Priority on May 16, 10 a.m. at Lazaridis Hall (LH1001), 75 University Ave. W., Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo. The debate is being hosted by the Conestoga Students Incorporat­ed (CSI), Conestoga Faculty (OPSEU/CAAT (A) Local 237), Conestoga Staff (OPSEU Local 238), Federation of Students (Feds), University of Waterloo Graduate Students Associatio­n (GSA), University of Waterloo Staff Associatio­n (UWSA), Faculty Associatio­n of the University of Waterloo (FAUW), Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union (WLUSU), Wilfrid Laurier Graduate Student Associatio­n (WLUGSA), Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Associatio­n (WLUFA), Wilfrid Laurier University Staff Associatio­n (WLUSA), and Laurier Managerial Group (LMG).

• The Social Planning Council of Cambridge and North Dumfries will host an all-candidates meeting focusing on social issues facing our community on May 22 from 7-9 p.m. at Sunbridge Hotel & Conference Centre, 200 Holiday Inn Dr., Cambridge. Candidates running in the upcoming provincial election will be asked questions about social issues, such as oral health, poverty, affordable housing, and health care. Audience members will have the opportunit­y to ask questions. Riding: Kitchener South Hespeler

• The Social Developmen­t Centre Waterloo Region will host a “meet the candidates” forum on May 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 23 Water St. N., Kitchener. The candidates in Kitchener Centre and Waterloo together in conversati­on with the community around the issues including housing, health care, income security, environmen­t and democratic reform. • Namaste Debate: KW IndoCanadi­an provincial and municipal debate May 25 at 7 p.m. at Victoria Park Pavillion, 80 Schneider’s Ave., Kitchener.

• Grand Hill Village Associatio­n will host an all-candidates meeting for the riding of Kitchener South-Hespeler, Doon Presbyteri­an Church, 35 Roos St., Kitchener. Start time will be 7 p.m. with doors open at 6:30 p.m.
