Westmount posts flyover videos to website

- MARK BRYSON Waterloo Region Record

The Westmount Golf and Country Club is sharing its highly regarded course with the world.

Narrated flyover videos for all 18 holes have been posted to the club’s website with insight and tips for how to play the storied Kitchener course, designed by Stanley Thompson in 1929. Head professional Rob Strahan narrates the front nine, with honorary member and former head pro Gus Maue (1967-1989) leading viewers through the final nine holes.

“We wanted to share this wonderful property with the golf community,” said Westmount general manager Brad Duench.

“It’s a unique way of displaying the property, which a lot of people have never seen before,” he said.

Fergus-based Goad Media Group shot the video last fall using drone technology. Visit westmountgolf.com and take the course tour under ‘The Club’ tab.
