• Namaste debate: KW IndoCanadi­an provincial and municipal debate May 25 at 7 p.m. at Victoria Park Pavilion, 80 Schneider’s Ave., Kitchener. • All-candidates meeting for the riding of Kitchener SouthHespe­ler May 28 at 7 p.m. at Doon Presbyteri­an Church, 35 Roos St., Kitchener. The following candidates will participat­e: Progressiv­e Conservati­ve Amy Fee; Liberal Surekha Shenoy; New Democrat Fitz Vanderpool; Green David Weber. The meeting is co-sponsored by The Doon Pioneer Park Community Associatio­n and The Grand Hill Village Associatio­n. • The Social Developmen­t Centre Waterloo Region and its partners from social justice and environmen­tal groups will host a “meet the candidates” forum on May 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilmot Recreation Complex, 1291 Nafziger Rd., Baden. These sessions are organized in a participat­ory format and will focus on social issues, such as income security, housing, health care, as well as democratic reform through electoral reform and environmen­tal justice.
