State-of-the-Art Fireplace & HVAC Showroom opens in Kitchener
Goemans Custom Climate has opened a new state-of-the-art showroom in Kitchener to serve all of your fireplace and HVAC needs.
Modeled after its first location in Burlington just two years ago, the interactive store provides a shopping experience like no other in the industry by proudly showcasing over 80 operational gas, electric and wood burning fireplaces. “We want to have a tangible experience for our customers,” says Matt Ruggi, president of the family-operated business along with partner Brad Goemans. “Our showroom has displays that show customers the look and functionality of each piece of equipment.” This is a unique value proposition to customers looking for a furnace, air conditioner or fireplace. “If you’re going to invest $8000 in an air conditioner and furnace or fireplace, rather than pay someone who walks into your house with brochures, visit our showroom and make an educated choice,” explains Brad whose family also owns Goemans Appliances which has successfully sold appliances for 40 years, ten of those years specifically serving the KitchenerWaterloo region in the current location next door. “We’re excited to extend the same quality purchasing experience to our hearth and HVAC customers that have enjoyed that superior level of service, selection and value from Goemans Appliances,” says Brad. Customers are encouraged to check out the various displays in the Goemans Custom Climate showroom to see firsthand what the equipment will look like, and how it will fit in their home. A sample mechanical room is also on display in the store, and offers a functional example of how all the various pieces of equipment work together. The interactive setup includes a tankless water heater, furnace, and HEPA cleaner. Another display includes home comfort products by three HVAC brands for easy comparison. A wide selection of working fireplaces are set up throughout the showroom that are each placed on a different backdrop wall. Customers can select the entire look, mix and match, or simply purchase the fireplace. “We also come to your home, so that we fit the right package for your specific needs and make sure it’s sized appropriately,” says Matt. He emphasizes the importance of installation, which most customers don’t consider after choosing the equipment. In fact, the installation process is just as important as the product itself. A furnace that is installed improperly will cause problems from the get-go. Because of this, Goemans’ installers are employees of the company. “We want one hundred per cent control for the end user,” says Ruggi. Based on his extensive experience in the industry, customers look at three main components when researching a heating and cooling solution for a home: Price - Customers have an idea of budget and they want to ensure the equipment they purchase is appropriately priced for its level of functionality. Warranty - People tend to care more about warranty than price for this level of investment.
