Two Kitchener men sought by police after shotgun fired into air

KITCHENER — Waterloo Regional Police are looking for help from the public in finding two suspects after a shotgun was fired in the air during an early-morning altercatio­n earlier this week in Kitchener.

Warrants were issued for two Kitchener men wanted in connection to a report of gun shots fired in the Chandler Drive area on Monday at around 2 a.m.

“We’re asking for the public’s assistance to help us locate these two,” said Insp. Mike Haffner of the Waterloo Regional Police on Friday.

Anyone who spots the men should call 911 and not approach them.

“We do believe they’re armed and dangerous,” Haffner said.

Police believe an altercatio­n ensued between a number of people in the area, and a shotgun was fired into the air.

Donovan Bishop, 31, is facing a number of charges including careless use of a firearm and breach of probation charges. He is described as black, six-foot-three, 175 pounds, short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of the words “Bishop” and “Kadd” on each of his forearms.

Kyro Sparks, 35, also faces a number of charges, including careless use of a firearm and unauthoriz­ed possession of a firearm while prohibited. He is described as black, five-foot-11, 145 pounds with an athletic build. He has a shaved head and a thick beard.
