WATERLOO REGION — There’s a little something for everyone to do in the region this weekend, whether you’re into jazz, architecture or enjoying a plateful of comfort food.
Here’s the shortlist:
Celebrate 100 years of honey harvesting at Nith Valley Apiaries. The Centennial Honey Festival will host 11 vendors from across the region, and have a honey bee observation booth, activities for the whole family, and food and honey samples.
The three-day Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival kicks off this Friday. For a detailed schedule of events and locations go to uptownwaterloojazz.ca.
There will be more than 25 pipe bands, 250 dancers, and 40 vendors at this year’s Cambridge Scottish Festival. Enjoy a full day of Highland Games and more. For a full schedule of events go to http://www.cambridgescottishfestival.ca.
The Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery is hosting an architectural walking tour in Kitchener. The $10 tour, which goes rain or shine, will explore the city’s past and present, so bring your walking shoes.
Those looking to fill their bellies can head over to Victoria Park for the 15th annual Downtown Kitchener Ribfest and Craft Beer Show. There will be dozens of ribbers and craft brewers in attendance along with live entertainment.
