25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raises $31,203
KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (August 28, 2018) – Today the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) presented a cheque to Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region in the amount of $31,203.04. The funds were raised through KWAR’s 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament that was held at Rebel Creek Golf Club on Tuesday, June 26th, 2018. “Our annual golf tournament is just one of the many ways our members are giving back and enhancing the quality of life in our community. This year’s tournament was a huge success in terms of REALTOR® engagement and the amount of items donated to the auction” said KWAR President Tony Schmidt, “As REALTORS® we are very proud to support Habitat for Humanity in their mission of building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty. It’s nice to see everyone come together to support a good cause, and have some fun”. “We had many sponsors return this year, but we are thrilled to have had many new sponsors on board for this tournament,” said Schmidt. “Without the generous support of the sponsors, participants and volunteers, this would not have been possible”.
