Municipal election forums in Waterloo Region:

Oct. 2

Ward 7’s four neighbourhood associations are joining together to introduce all five candidates for ward councillor to the residents and businesses of uptown Waterloo. An all-candidates forum will be held on Oct. 2, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (Hauser Haus on second floor). Tenille Bonoguore, Devon McKenzie, Carol Parsons, Rami Said and Elizabeth Sproule will field questions from the audience.

Oct. 1, Oct. 3, Oct. 10

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario-Waterloo Region (ETFO-WR) is sponsoring all-candidates meetings for candidates running in Waterloo Region District School Board elections in Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge. These events will be open to the public, and all trustee candidates are invited to the session in the city in which they are running. Rather than a formal debate, the format of this event will allow people to engage with candidates through smallgroup discussions. Candidates will rotate every five minutes to a different table, and participants will be encouraged to ask questions on topics important to them. The dates for the events are:

Waterloo trustees, Oct. 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., Waterloo Memorial Rec Centre (Hauser Haus)

Kitchener trustees, Oct. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m., Forest Heights Community Centre

Cambridge trustees, Oct. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m., Cambridge City Hall (Bowman Room A)

The Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum for regional chair candidates at 4 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Kitchener.

Oct. 17

The Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum for mayoral candidates in Waterloo at 4 p.m. at RIM Park (Forbes Hall).

Oct. 18

The Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum for mayoral candidates in Kitchener at 4 p.m. at the Victoria Park Pavilion.
