Municipal election forums in Waterloo Region: Oct. 4

The Social Planning Council of Cambridge & North Dumfries is holding all-candidates meetings for Cambridge candidates on from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Langs, 1145 Concession Rd., Cambridge. There will be a meet-andgreet with Ward 1 and 3 candidates from 5:30-6 p.m., a meetand-greet with regional councillor candidates from 6-7 p.m., a mayoral candidates debate from 7-8 p.m., and regional chair candidates debate from 8-9 p.m. Oct. 10

The Social Planning Council of Cambridge & North Dumfries is holding an all-candidates meeting for North Dumfries Township 7 to 9 p.m. at McNeil Hall in the North Dumfries Community Complex, 2958 Greenfield Rd, Ayr. Oct. 10 The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario-Waterloo Region is sponsoring its final all-candidates meeting for candidates running in Waterloo Region District School Board. Rather than a formal debate, the format will allow people to engage with candidates through small-group discussion­s. Candidates will rotate every five minutes to a different table, and participan­ts will be encouraged to ask questions on topics important to them. Waterloo Region will co-host a meet-the-candidate event. Sitting in groups, we discuss issues while candidates listen and later reflect on what they heard.
