• Looking for hands-on experience working in health care? Join Parkwood Mennonite Home as a volunteer exercise assistant. You will work alongside physiother­apy and restorativ­e care specialist­s to help seniors increase their range of motion and muscle strength, enhance social skills and provide fun through exercise. Have some fitness experience already? Ask about the fitness centre supervisor volunteer position. Weekday and some weekend daytime positions available. The Grand River Film Festival is looking for a volunteer coordinato­r to assist with volunteer recruitmen­t, work with their online volunteer portal, help lead the volunteer orientatio­n before the festival, and act as an on-site volunteer co-ordinator during the festival from May 8 to 11 (and some CineSeries events from February to May). Some of this work can be done from home with a flexible schedule, and the remainder is required on-site before and during the events. Contact Jaylene Houde at volunteer@grff.ca.

• March of Dimes Canada is looking for stroke survivors and caregivers for their After Stroke programs and services. Linking Survivors with Survivors is a hospital visitation program where peer mentors visit stroke survivor patients to provide knowledge, hope and community resources. This volunteer position fits with your rehabilita­tion and family schedule.
