Tuesday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Closed Mondays. Hours will change in March.

A once corporate cafeteria repurposed into a bright, informal, familyrun restaurant. Two dining spaces (combined seating for about 140), with tables for two, four, and six; cosy café conversati­onal seating near an electric fireplace.

Middle Eastern scratchmad­e dishes, with a few from the Mediterran­ean and West, featuring gentle flavours. Vegans and vegetarian­s will eat very well. Halal. Online menu. Catering. Takeout.

Unlicensed — alcohol is not permitted in the restaurant. Juices, pops, Barbican, as well as teas and coffee. Turkish coffee available.

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgea­ble table service. Reservatio­ns for groups of five or more.

In a Nutshell

A friendly family-run restaurant specializi­ng in dishes that go beyond the usual Middle Eastern offerings. Mostly gently spiced scratch-cooked dishes, but the flavourful eggplant salad is not to be missed.
