Claire Helsby
Determined, optimistic and kind are just some of the traits Claire has exemplified while at St. Davids. She has maintained over a 95 percent average with particular strengths in STEM. In addition to academics, Claire has excelled in both personal and school athletics. Outside of school, Claire swam competitively while also being involved in multiple St. David athletic teams. She has enjoyed participating in cross country, track and field, tinman triathlon, and swimming, helping bring positivity and success to her team. Claire is extremely hard working and leads quietly by example, achieving multiple academic and athletic awards each year. Claire plans to attend Western University this fall to pursue her interest in Mathematics. Parents: Angela and Paul Helsby
Sydney Pendleton
As a student at St. David CSS, Sydney has devoted countless hours to her school community through her role as co-president, demonstrating her passion for leadership and her enthusiasm toward helping others. Along with her commitment to student council, Sydney also competed as a varsity athlete, initiated her school’s first Relay for Life movement, and was a member of the HOSA team. She continues her involvement outside of her school community as an athlete for the U19 Waterloo Ghosts Tier 1 Softball team and volunteering her summers in the medical imaging and day surgery departments at Grand River Hospital. Sydney has maintained an average over 90 percent and plans to attend Queen’s University for an Honours degree in biochemistry. Parents: Colleen Dietrich and Boyd Pendleton
