This month we asked our contributo­rs, what excites you most about Western Canada’s food scene?

We love the trend of greenery and plants incorporat­ed into the design of a lot of the restaurant­s that have opened in the last little while— like all of the terrariums that are in Bridgette Bar. Such a nice touch—feels a bit like home!

Alberta is finally having its microbrewe­ry moment. We fell behind because, despite having very lax liquor laws, strict production laws stifled brewers. Since changing the rules in ’“”• the number of microbrewe­ries has tripled.
