- STORY BY MAGEE WALKER IMAGES BY JOERN ROHDE

Though most know Whistler as an outdoors lover’s mecca, there are also plenty of fun ways to stay active indoors. Whether you’re looking to fill a rainy day, taking a break from the on-mountain action, or seeking an après activity, here are a few gems to check out.

Meadow Park Sports Centre

Just four km north of the Village on Highway 99 is the Meadow Park Sports Centre, home to all things active. Pick up a drop-in pass and choose among an assortment of activities, from swimming in the lap pool to skating on the indoor, NHL-sized rink; take a class or sweat it out on the squash courts. Condition yourself for the mountains, or hit the hot tub, steam room, and sauna to soothe your sore muscles. Visit whistler.ca.

Escape! Whistler

Escape! Whistler in the Hilton Whistler Resort is a fun and challenging real-life gaming activity for a group of friends or the whole family. Choose from four different theme rooms with varying degrees of difficulty: Pirate Ship, Lost Tomb, Buried Cabin, or Rabbit Hole. Work together to solve puzzles, riddles and clues within a time limit to allow you to escape the situation.
