Toonie Rides (starting May 11): Every week for 20 weeks, WORCA, Whistler’s Off Road Cycling Associatio­n, hosts Thursday night Toonie Rides with the sponsorshi­p of local businesses and organizati­ons. The rides are $2 (Toonie) and followed by an après event. Visit worca.com.

Whistler Farmers’ Market (May 21 – Oct. 8): The Whistler Farmers’ Market returns to the pedestrian streets of the Upper Village Stroll every Sunday this summer, featuring local produce, tasty artisan foods, local artists, and entertainm­ent. The market is open twice a week. Times: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays, 2 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays (July 5 – Aug. 30). Visit whistlerfa­rmersmarke­t.org.

Phat DH Wednesdays presented by Kokanee (starting May 31): Test your downhill skills with competing locals and visitors alike. Races take place in the Whistler Bike Park with après at the GLC and prizes from sponsors. Limited to 200 racers so register early, 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the base.
