Mccready on mark

Lancers captain Matt McCready of Kingsville scored the winning goal in a 3-1 victory over Laurier in OUA men’s hockey at Sun Life Arena in Waterloo Saturday.

Mccready broke a 1-1 tie on the power play midway through the third period.

Mark Thorburn and Spencer Pommels added goals, Evan Stibbard was named the first star with two assists and Parker Van Buskirk made 19 saves.

Stibbard, a five- foot- 11, 195-pound forward from Windsor, leads the team in scoring with 12 goals and 23 points in 24 games.
