Lasalle native Zack Kassian helped the Western Conference stars defeat the Eastern Conference 18-10 in the AHL All-star Skills Competition Sunday in Atlantic City, N.J.

Ex-spitfires goalie Michael Leighton of the Adirondack Phantoms stopped all shots he faced in the breakaway relay as the East took the breakaway relay event 5-2.
The AHL all-star game is tonight (7 p.m., RSO).
On Satrday, Kassian scored a goal in Rochester’s 2-1 win.
