Saints basketball

The St. Clair College men’s basketball team beat Sault College 83-79 and lost to Algoma University 97-47 in OUA action on the weekend.

Sunday, Algoma built a 20-point advantage in the first quarter on their way to the victory.

Alex Temesy led the Saints with 15 points.

Eli Hesley, Stephan Gray and Anthony Derose all scored 10 points for the Saints.

Derose added seven rebounds while Gray added four steals.

In Saturday’s win against the Soo, Temesy scored 22 points, Jamaal Thompson had 19 points, Hesley scored 17 points and Gray added 14 points.
