TWO NEW SERIES SET TO DEBUT
Specialty network HGTV Canada has announced it will begin production on two original series starring three new experts.
Home to Win builder Sebastian Clovis joins forces with DIY designer Sabrina Smelko, who appeared as a guest judge on W Network’s Game of Homes, for Save My Reno. In each half-hour episode, the two tear up overpriced reno quotes and help cash-strapped homeowners take their spaces from struggling to stellar — and on a budget to boot.
On Backyard Builds, meanwhile, contractor Brian McCourt and designer Sarah Keenleyside take things outside, making ordinary backyards into one-of-a-kind living spaces. The half-hour episodes focus on wallet-friendly ways to tailor terrains to their owners, and projects could include yoga studios, recording facilities, tiki bars, bowling alleys or al fresco dining areas.
