Cops probe third shooting in less than two weeks
No injuries in third reported incident of gunfire in less than two weeks
Windsor police are continuing to investigate a shooting in the city’s east side that investigators say wasn’t a random act.
The incident occurred outside a house at 1191 Albert Rd. late Wednesday night.
Police received the call from the male resident around 11:25 p.m.
When officers arrived, the man pointed out damage to the front of the home that appeared to be caused by a small calibre firearm.
Neighbourhood residents also described hearing what sounded like two gunshots.
There were no injuries. As of 2 p.m. Thursday, no arrests had been made.
Police vehicles remained at the address overnight and into Thursday.
Forensics officers visited the scene and searched for evidence.
Detectives from the major crimes unit have taken over the investigation. They’re asking anyone in the community who has video surveillance of the area to check their recordings for suspicious activity.

It marks the third shooting incident in Windsor in less than two weeks.
A shot fired at 760 University Ave. East on the night of Feb. 21 resulted in the death of Dallas Nelson, 19, and a first-degree murder charge for 45-year-old David Formosa.
On Feb. 27, multiple shots fired outside an apartment building at 8717 Riverside Dr. East led to the arrest of 46-year-old Lamar Struthers.
He faces a raft of charges including three counts of attempted murder.
