Driver dies after crash on St. Patrick’s Day

-

A 20-year-old woman has died from injuries she suffered in a single-car crash near McGregor on St. Patrick’s Day. Justine Soulliere was rushed to hospital with critical injuries after her vehicle left North Malden Road and hit a cement culvert east of Trembley Side Road. The force of the impact sheared her red sedan nearly in half, leading the first people on the scene to believe two vehicles were in the ditch. Soulliere was the sole occupant of her vehicle. OPP have not said what they believe caused the accident. Roads were extremely slippery when firefighters, paramedics and police officers responded about 8:30 p.m. Soulliere’s death was made public on a gofundme.com page started by a friend. According to the page on the fundraising site, Soulliere was transferred to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit after the crash. An update said funds raised will be used to pay medical bills and funeral costs.
