Annual plant sale to be held May 6

The city’s annual plant sale is set for May 6. The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lanspeary Park Greenhouse, 1149 Giles Blvd. Popular city plants such as the hybrid Nell Martin roses will be on sale, as well as numerous types of perennials, grass, herbs, shrubs, and even a small selection of trees. The annual plant and perennial sale is a popular one and usually has a lineup of people waiting for the doors to open. The city will only accept cash payment. Proceeds from the sale will continue to fund the Paul Martin Garden at Willistead Park.
