A bubbly Windsor nurse was left in tears of joy during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week after winning $21,000 in prizes.

Maggie Boglitch travelled to Burbank, Calif., for the taping of the show. She thought she had been randomly selected from the audience to play Know or Go.

The game features contestants falling through a trap door in the floor when they answer questions incorrectly.

Unbeknownst to Boglitch, the show had arranged for her sister Lindsey, and mom, Sam, to also attend the taping. Boglitch had no idea they were there until a curtain opened revealing them perched atop the Know or Go platform.

A bouncing and squealing Boglitch called DeGeneres her inspiration. “Oh my God, I love you so much,” she said.

Lindsey got dropped through the floor when she misspelled tequila. Sam could not give the correct height of the Leaning Tower of Pisa and suffered the same fate.

Boglitch was asked how many shows DeGeneres tapes each year.

Boglitch was made to spend a few anguished moments awaiting to be dropped through the floor after incorrectly answering 36. (The correct number is 170.)

Boglitch is a special care nurse at St. John Hospital in Detroit.

She told DeGeneres that being a nurse is “the most amazing feeling, just to give back to people.

“I would work for free,” she added.

Boglitch, who just got engaged, plans to attend graduate school. “Why is it important for you to go to grad school?” DeGeneres asked her.

“I just want to be the best nurse I can possibly be,” Boglitch said.

“My No. 1 thing is I want to be able to give back to my mom. I just want to repay her.”

Boglitch’s response elicited an “Ah” from the audience.

DeGeneres presented Boglitch with a $1,000 Visa gift card and $20,000 from photo publishing company Shutterfly to pay for grad school.
