WINDSOR STAR PHOTO POLICY

The Windsor Star publishes, at no charge, 50th, 55th, 60th, 65th and 70th wedding anniversaries and birthdays for those 90, 95, 100 and older. These announcements are published online and in print on Saturdays. Submissions are accepted by email only. Send a current, high quality photo (as a JPG attachment) to news@windsorstar.com at least one month prior to the event. Put “Milestones” in the subject line. Include the following information in the email: the name(s) of the celebrant(s) in the photo; where they were married or born; the type of milestone (eg. 50th anniversary; 100th birthday); the number of children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; how the milestone will be celebrated; and, a contact name and phone number.

50th:

Annette and Gerry Goodwin were married May 27, 1967, in Emeryville. They have five children and six grandchildren. They will celebrate their anniversary with family.

90th:

Miriam Solchenberger was born May 27, 1927, in Windsor. She has one daughter, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She will celebrate with family.

50th:

Giovanni and Carmela Schembri were married on May 27, 1967, at St. Angela Merici Church in Windsor. They have three children and two granddaughters. They will renew their vows and celebrate the event with family and friends.

95th:

Carmel Johns was born May 25, 1922, in East Ferris Township, Nipissing, Ont. She has six children and four grandchildren.

90th:

Marguerite White was born on May 27, 1927, in River Canard. She has one daughter and two grandchildren. She will celebrate her birthday with family and friends.
