House fire damage pegged at $350K

Windsor fire investigators are estimating the damage from a house fire on Baseline Road on Monday night at about $350,000. The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. at a home in the 6600 block of Baseline Road. Although the property is within the municipality of Windsor, the situation was complicated by a lack of nearby fire hydrants. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services called upon the fire departments of Tecumseh and LaSalle to provide water support and assist with the scene. It took more than an hour to bring the fire under control. No one was hurt. Investigators have determined the fire was an accident.
