POLICE GO ‘EXTRA MILE’ TO TRACK NOTORIOUS DRIVER

Police in Surrey, B.C., launched

an operation to track down a driver after “numerous complaints” of traffic violations committed by the same white vehicle. Sgt. Lorne Lecker with the Deas Island Traffic Services said, “From the sheer volume of the complaints and the nature of the driving involved, we had to go the extra mile to investigat­e these concerns.” On Sept. 7, officers followed the vehicle as it committed a number of traffic violations. A 30-year-old Surrey man was issued tickets and his vehicle was impounded for speeding.
