Hungry? Satisfaction is just a click away now that Uber Eats is in town. The food delivery platform — based on the same network as the popular ride-sharing service Uber — allows users to order from select restaurants and have the meals driven to practically anywhere in the city.

Windsor was one of 13 communities across Canada that launched Uber Eats on Wednesday. Local users can now access Uber Eats via a downloadable phone app or the website www.ubereats.com. Simply pick your delivery location, browse available menus through the app or site, place your order and set the delivery time. The app will provide live updates about your food’s progress, from preparation to transport.

The list of participating Windsor eateries includes:

The Bull & Barrel (670 Ouellette Ave.);Burger Factory (3873 Walker Rd.); Carrots N’ Dates (2090 Wyandotte St. E.); Eddy’s Mediterranean Bistro (420 Tecumseh Rd. E.); Gusto’s Pizza (899 Grand Marais Rd. E.); Healthy Creations (333 Dougall Square); Mare Nostrum (401 Sunset Ave.); Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge (804 Erie St. E.); The Orwell Public House (1898 Shepherd St. E.); Pizza Bella (1504 Parent Ave.); Pizza Depot (321 Tecumseh Rd. E.); Sandwich Post Cafe Express (3201 Sandwich St.); Shin Shin Chinese Food (978 University Ave. W.); Taka Japanese & Thai (5011 Legacy Park Dr.); Toasty’s Grilled Cheese & Salad Bar (357 Ouellette Ave.); Treehouse Bar & Grill (351 Ouellette Ave.); Walkerville Eatery (911 Walker Rd.); Windsor Sandwich Shop (1311 Tecumseh Rd. E.). Pricing via the Uber Eats app or site may be different than prices on the menu at the business in person. The service is already available in more than 200 cities in North America, but Uber Canada said that Wednesday was the biggest single-day launch for Uber Eats in the country so far.

Along with Windsor, Uber Eats became available in Ontario communities such as Cambridge, Guelph, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, and Barrie, as well as Red Deer, Alta., and Gatineau, Que.
