■ investing $30 million to expand and existing greenhouse operation in Enniskillen Township near Petrolia. The facility, to be known as High Park Farms, has received federal licencing and will begin cultivating marijuana with the first harvest expected in June. The greenhouse, which used to grow bell peppers, has been expanded and adapted to cannabis production. The marijuana will be processed at a new facility that will open in London this summer. ■ greenhouse vegetable grower in Leamington, is adding a 12-hectare, $40-million expansion that will grow marijuana. Double Diamond is partnered with Leamington’s Aphria Inc., one of Canada’s biggest growers of medical marijuana. ■ five acres of greenhouse space from Perfect Pick Farms Ltd., a three-generation family business nearby Strathroy, with an option to lease an additional nine acres and eventually buy the entire operation. Weed MD has been operating a 25,000-squarefoot facility on the site of the former Imperial Tobacco plant since 2016. This week WeedMD announced a merger with Hiku, a Toronto-based company that owns a number of cannabis brands.
