Quarterback Dan Mailloux made the most of his chance to run the Essex Ravens’ offence.

With the team struggling, Mailloux came on in relief of starter Aiden Mitrevski and threw for over 200 yards and three touchdowns. That helped spark the Ravens to a 35-0 win over the Cumblerland Panthers in Ontario Provincial Football League play on Saturday at University of Windsor Stadium. “He came in in the second quarter and threw really well,” Ravens head coach Glen Mills said of Mailloux. “He came in winging the ball all over. He can play the game.” Mailloux finished the game eight-for-11 for 224 yards and three touchdowns. He hit Ethan Mackinnon, who had 180 yards on seven catches, for touchdown passes of 50 and 40 yards. He also threw a 56yard touchdown pass to Vyshonne Janusas.

Fullback Bjorn Vaillacourt scored on a three-yard run while kicker Cam Creechan hit two field goals, four converts and a single. Running back Danny Byrne ran for 155 yards on 24 carries.
