RINO BORTOLIN Liberal
Bortolin is councillor for downtown’s Ward 3. Elected in 2014, the former restaurant owner and married father of three has been at the forefront of efforts to improve the downtown and make residential neighbourhoods in the core safer and more livable. Bortolin attended Catholic Central High School and studied philosophy at the University of Windsor.
CHAD DUROCHER None of the Above Direct Democracy
Durocher is a former two-time candidate for the Green party who this election is switching to a four-year-old party calling for the “Three Rs of Direct Democracy,” which are referendum, recall and real electoral and legislative reform. A sales and service representative, he and his partner Anita have a 10-year-old son, Quincy.
KRYSTA GLOVASKY-RIDSDALE Green
An IT professional, entrepreneur, wife and mother, Glovasky-Ridsdale was born and raised in Windsor, earned a BA in social science and is a Microsoft certified systems engineer. She says she’s running for the Greens because the party’s approach is “practical, sustainable, ethical and just makes sense.”
LISA GRETZKY New Democrat
The incumbent MPP, Gretzky was first elected in 2014 when she defeated Liberal cabinet minister Teresa Piruzza. A former public school board trustee and vice-chair, the married mother of two also used to own an event planning business. At Queen’s Park, Gretzky is the NDP critic for community and social services, and homelessness.
ADAM IBRAHIM Progressive Conservative
Ibrahim graduated from St. Clair College and joined his family’s business, Windsor Pure & Clean H2O To Go. He’s married and has a daughter. He previously worked in Queen’s Park as a senior adviser to former Ontario PC leader Patrick Brown.
