Gucci just wild about Harry
Harry Styles is fronting Gucci’s latest campaign amid a group of adorable animals. The former One Direction singer was tapped as the latest face for the Italian luxury label in March, having displayed much admiration for the work of creative director Alessandro Michele. Gucci has now released the first images from Styles’ ads, where he can be seen posing alongside several dogs as well as a chicken. In one image, the 24-year-old leans against the wall of a fish and chip shop while clutching a bag of fries, and is joined by a furry grey and white pooch. “On set at a fish and chip shop in north London, @harrystyles appears in the new men’s #GucciTailoring campaign wearing the House’s latest suiting designs by #AlessandroMichele,” the brand captured the photo on its official Instagram account. The classic grey three-piece suit is accessorized with an oversized green plaid scarf and matching trainers displaying the fashion house’s signature stripe detailing. Styles has also been pictured inside the same eatery, this time wearing a dark blue printed suit surrounded by four hungry dogs whom he shares his lunch with. Gucci added that the shots aim to emulate “a narrative sequence that echoes many famous photographs and scenes from British films.” Finally, Styles sports an eyecatching navy and maroon embroidered New Marseille jacket and cuddles up to a pet chicken. The British singer has showcased his love for Gucci throughout his latest tour, debuting his first solo album, which also helped land him a place on the top 10 most powerful celebrity fashion influencers of 2017.
Compiled by online retail shopping tool Lyst, researchers stated that “Harry drove thousand of searches for men’s Gucci floral shirts and suits, wearing the brand throughout his 2017 tour and public appearances.”
