Anka, Lordof the Dance booked for Caesars

Caesars Windsor has announced schedule dates for another three shows led by legendary singer Paul Anka.

Anka will come to Windsor on Wednesday, Oct. 17, for an 8 p.m. show.

He was one of the first entertaine­rs to perform on the Colosseum stage. His upcoming show will be focused on a variety of Frank Sinatra’s greatest hits. They will include My Way, which Anka himself wrote, and Strangers in the Night. Anka will also perform his own chart-topping songs, including Diana, Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Having My Baby and more. Anka, 76, remains the only artist to have a different song ranked on the Billboard charts for seven consecutiv­e decades and is celebratin­g the 60th anniversar­y of his career. Tickets for Paul Anka start at $35 (plus taxes and fees). They will go on sale starting at noon, Saturday, June 30, at the casino’s box office and online at caesarswin­dsor.com or ticketmast­er.ca. Caesars Windsor has also scheduled a Pink Floyd tribute show on Friday, Oct. 19, starting at 9 p.m. The world-renowned Australian Pink Floyd show, which features performing music of the original band, is celebratin­g its 30th year and strives to reproduce iconic music throughout Pink Floyd’s career.

The multimedia show includes a stunning light and laser show, video animations and state-of-theart high-resolution LED screen technology. Among classic songs that will be played include Another Brick in the Wall, Comfortabl­y Numb and Wish You Were Here. Known to fans as Aussie Floyd, the group of 10 talented musicians have performed in more than 35 countries and sold more than five million tickets worldwide since 1988. Tickets start at $25 Canadian and go on sale at noon, Saturday, June 30, at the casino’s Box Office and online.

Caesars has also scheduled energetic dance ensemble Lord of the Dance for Thursday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m.

This show is listed for “all ages” and features 40 of the world’s most outstandin­g Irish dancers who will be in the midst of their Dangerous Games tour. Along with an electrifyi­ng mix of dance and music, Lord of the Dance’s show features cutting edge technology, including a giant radiant flat screen that spans the width of the stage, special effects lighting, dancing robots and world champion acrobats. Tickets start at $25 Canadian and go on sale at noon Saturday, June 30 at the casino’s box office and online on Saturday, June 30.
