Ponies, bouncy castles at festival
The 24th annual Children’s Fest, complete with pony rides and bouncy castles, is set for this weekend at Central Park Athletics. New this year is an action and adventure zone featuring model trains, remote control cars, displays by the Canadian Historical Aircraft Museum and an opportunity to learn about robotics. Since its inception in 1995, more than 75,000 people have attended the Children’s Fest — a Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) project. The Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association now partners with Rotary in offering the event for $5 per person. There is also live entertainment, sports activities, dog shows, face painting and food. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
