ASTROS’ OSUNA BACK IN TORONTO
Monday’s game against the visiting Houston Astros marks the return of former Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna, who was charged with assault in an alleged domestic incident by Toronto police on May 8. On June 22, Osuna received a 75-game suspension from MLB. He was traded to the Astros on July 30 and is 9-for-9 in save opportunities with an ERA of 2.29. Osuna has a court date set for Tuesday, though it’s not known whether he will appear in court. He was traded for pitchers Hector Perez, David Paulino and Ken Giles, who is 24for-24 in closing situations this season, including 12-for-12 with the Jays. The game will also mark the first time the Brothers Gurriel, Lourdes and Yuli, face each other at the major-league level. The brothers smacked a pair of homers each on Friday. Yuli, also an infielder, is 34 years old and Lourdes is 24.
