Leave ‘boring’ Canada, singer tells pair

-

If Harry and Meghan do indeed end up making the move from Canada to the U.S. — as has been mooted in recent days — Madonna has made them a solid offer.

The royals, who made the call last month to step back from their royal duties and move to Canada, have been staying in North Saanich, B.C., with their baby Archie.

But though Meghan has reportedly been seeking an agent in L.A., with a possible view to restarting her acting career, Madonna says New York is the place to be, Yahoo and Page Six report. And, she added, it beats “boring” Canada.

She happens to own a $7.3 million property on Manhattan’s west side, and said the royals are welcome to sublet it.

In a Tuesday Instagram video titled: “Do Megan and Prince Harry want to sublet my apartment on Central Park West??” the music legend said:

“Hey, Harry, don’t run off to Canada. It’s so boring there. I’ll let them sublet my apartment on Central Park West.”

“It’s two-bedroom, it’s got the best view of Manhattan. Incredible balcony … No, Buckingham Palace has got nothing on CPW. I think that’s gonna be a winner."

However, even if they do bite on Madonna’s proposal, it’s understood the regulations at her building are strict when it comes to sublets. Madonna, Page Six reports, has been in a long-running legal dispute with the building’s owners over similar issues, losing a 2018 court battle over whether her children can stay at the property when she isn’t around.

Citing the building’s rule book, Page Six notes that a sublet could be allowed under certain circumstances, but the building’s co-op “prefers that each apartment be occupied by its Shareholder.”
