It appears Tecumseh’s Mychal Mulder will finally get his shot in the National Basketball Association.

The 25-year-old Mulder, a Catholic Central high school product, was set to sign a 10-day contract with the NBA’S Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

A 6-foot-3, 184-pound shooting guard, Mulder could be on the active roster for the Warriors in time for Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Mulder worked his way from a junior college to a full-ride scholarship at the University of Kentucky.

The G League’s Windy City Bulls made him a firstround pick in 2017 and his numbers jumped from 9.3 points per game his first season to 13.7 points per game in his second team.

He has spent time with Canada’s national men’s team and earned an invite to training camp by the NBA’S Miami Heat this year.

However, he landed back in the G League with the Sioux Falls Skyforce and was averaging 17 points per game.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Sophomore forward Thomas Kennedy has been named an OUA men’s basketball third-team all-star while freshman guard Shakael Pryce was named to the OUA all-rookie team.

The 6-foot-9 Kennedy topped the OUA with 258 rebounds this season and averaged 18.6 points per game in 22 games along with 11.7 rebounds with 38 steals and 29 blocks.

The 6-foot-2, 160-pound Pryce averaged more than 30 minutes per games this season. He finished third on the team with an average of 14.5 points per game along with 4.5 rebounds.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

University of Windsor Lancers fourth-year guard Kayah Clarke has been named an OUA women’s second-team all-star.

The OUA’S rookie of the year in 2017, the 5-foot-9 Clarke averaged 24 minutes per game this season and was Windsor’s leading scorer averaging 12.8 points per game.
