Irene passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 29, 2020 with family by her side at the age of 94. Reunited with her dearest husband Angelo (2009) and beloved daughter Paola Morga (1987) (Bert Morga). Cherished mother to Franca Giorgi (Joe), Silvana D’agostini (Roger 2019). Dearest Nonna to Sondra Morga of Italy, Jennifer Giorgi (Gianni Mucci), Joseph Giorgi, Natasha D’agostini (Rehan Yazdani). Devoted Nonnetta to Paola Di Lello of Italy, Gigi Giorgi, Joseph Giorgi Jr., and Sabrina Yazdani of Texas. Irene was predecease­d by her brothers Angelo and Giuseppe. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Vincenza Malizia, Gilda Verdecchia of Italy and Amedoro De Rubeis of Italy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, California and Florida. She will always be remembered by her love and devotion to her family and friends. Her favourite moments were to spend precious time with her grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children. Irene was a skillful and talented seamstress and touched many people’s lives with her talent. She loved flowers and spent endless hours in her cherished garden. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Banwell Gardens for their loving and compassion­ate care during her stay. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road E 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. followed by procession to St. Angela Merici Church for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
