Major crime unit investigating bullet damage at east end home

A home damaged by a bullet in Windsor's east end on Thursday is the subject of a police investigation.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., patrol officers with the Windsor Police Service responded to the 1000 block of Ford Boulevard for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived and found damage to a residence they believed was caused by a gunshot.

The forensic identification unit attended and processed the scene, and seized a shell casing found in the area as evidence.

No injuries were reported. Anyone in the area with video surveillance is asked to review their footage for possible evidence, specifically for any vehicles that may have been in the area at the time of the incident. The Windsor police major crime branch is investigating the incident.
