Major crime unit investigat­ing bullet damage at east end home

A home damaged by a bullet in Windsor's east end on Thursday is the subject of a police investigat­ion.

At approximat­ely 6:30 a.m., patrol officers with the Windsor Police Service responded to the 1000 block of Ford Boulevard for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived and found damage to a residence they believed was caused by a gunshot.

The forensic identifica­tion unit attended and processed the scene, and seized a shell casing found in the area as evidence.

No injuries were reported. Anyone in the area with video surveillan­ce is asked to review their footage for possible evidence, specifical­ly for any vehicles that may have been in the area at the time of the incident. The Windsor police major crime branch is investigat­ing the incident.
