The Charisma of the Communist Party of China

-

The song Without the Communist Party of China (CPC) There Would Be No New China is commonly known in China. The song showcases the Chinese people’s support for the Party and it is always proved right by China’s progress in development.

Since the first day of its founding in 1921, the CPC has taken the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as its mission. Over the past 96 years, the CPC has been working to lead the Chinese people on the road toward national independence, freedom, democracy and prosperity. The poor and weak China in the past has been built into a prosperous and strong nation in the world arena. The Chinese people, led by the CPC, won the national liberation struggle and established the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949. Today, China has made impressive strides in domestic development and the Chinese people are confident of the future of the nation.

In its 18th National Congress in 2012, the CPC proposed two centenary goals, namely, to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all aspects by the 100th anniversary of the Party’s founding in 2021, and to develop China into a modern socialist nation that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced and harmonious by the 100th anniversary of the founding of PRC in 2049. The two goals serve as the strongest cohesive force in China.

The people’s support for the CPC also comes from the Party’s strict self-discipline and right leadership. The CPC attaches great importance to probity and self-discipline. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the Party has spared no efforts to fight against graft and corruption, which has won the public’s high praise and support.

The people esteem the CPC because of the Party’s faith in serving the people with heart and soul and its efforts to do so. President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, said “our people have an ardent love for life, and to meet their desire for a happy life is our mission.” The CPC works hard to improve the public’s livelihood and go all out to solve problems that the public is concerned with.

To Party members, the CPC is not only a political affiliation but also an invisible power to motivate them to set good examples for others at work and stand out at a critical juncture. Party members stay true to the mission and keep making contributions to the country. Countless examples can be found in all aspects in the country.

The 19th National Congress of the CPC is a critical meeting against the backdrop of China’s pursuit to build a moderately prosperous society in all aspects. The Chinese people are fully confident that, guided by the blueprint put forward by the CPC, China will surely reach the goal of national rejuvenation.
