Remarkable Ring
A child observes the most anticipated celestial event of the year, an annular solar eclipse, using an astronomical telescope in Kunming, Yunnan Province in southwest China, on June 21. An annular eclipse is characterized by its stunning “ring of fire” since it’s not a total eclipse and edges of the sun can still be seen around the moon. People who missed it this time will have to wait another 10 years to see the next one.
