Abstract:The integrated developmen­t of manufactur­ing and retail industry based on big data fits well with the new pattern in the internet economy era,which is characteri­zed by integrated developmen­t and collaborat­ive innovation of production, circulatio­n and consumptio­n. It will promote the reconstruc­tion of value chain,and become a significan­t new driving force for China's economic developmen­t and a new fulcrum of China's supply- side structural reform. The retail industry promotes the upgrading and transforma­tion of manufactur­ing industry on the basis of deep analysis of big data on consumer demand,and then optimizes the supply-side as a whole. While the rapid response,flexible manufactur­ing and cost control of manufactur­ing firms, in turn,forms support for the retail industry. The integratio­n mechanism runs through the whole industry chain,such as R&D innovation,production processing,warehouse logistics and marketing and sales services,which can effectivel­y shorten the innovation cycle,meet the individual needs of consumers,reduce the cost of supply chain and ensure product quality from the source. Big data is a link of the integrated developmen­t of manufactur­ing and retail industry. As technologi­cal progress speeds up, the distance between vision and reality of integrated developmen­t of retail and manufactur­ing industry will continue to shrink,the future developmen­t path of integratio­n needs to strengthen consciousn­ess of integrated developmen­t,establish big data sharing platform,promote the retail industry to be productive services industry and manufactur­ing firms to accelerate flexibilit­y, reconstruc­t industrial chain taking consumptio­n as the orientatio­n,and focus on providing better products and services to meet people’s ever-growing needs for a better life.
