Abstract:With the rapid development of economy and society, the logistics industry is viewed as the important driving force and foundation for the development of social economic development. However, the problems exposed by the fast- growing logistics enterprises can not be ignored. The authors use the stochastic frontier method(SFA)to select the financial data of 80 logistics listed companies in 2013—2017 as a sample to empirically study the efficiency of China's logistics industry. It is found that the overall development of China's logistics enterprises showed an upward trend, but the average technical efficiency value of 80 enterprises in the past five years was still low compared with the optimal situation. From the analysis of different regions, the average technical efficiency value of enterprises in the eastern region was better than that in the west. The region is slightly higher than the central region, and this phenomenon is basically the same as the development of China's regional economy. The technical efficiency values of different types of enterprises are different, but the average technical efficiency value shows an overall upward trend, indicating that the development of logistics enterprises is getting better and better. It is also found that the number of executives and owners' rights have a positive impact on improving technical efficiency, while fixed assets and management expenses are currently in a state of diminishing returns to scale, and excessive investment will hinder the improvement of technical efficiency.According to this, all related enterprises should pay attention to the input of human capital, the reduce of debt ratio, the control of fixed asset, and the reduce of administrative fees.
