Study on Coupling Coordination Development between Logistics Industry and National Economy in China

——an Empirical Analysis Based on Provincial Panel Data

Abstract：On the basis of comparative analysis of logistics cost between China and other major countries，with the help of the inter-provincial panel data，the authors empirically analyze the coupling coordination development relation between logistic industry and national economy by using the improved entropy method and the coupling coordination degree model. The empirical research finds that：（1）compared with other major countries，the cost burden of logistics industry in China is still heavier，and the benefit of specialized third party logistics distribution mode is still relatively lower；（2）and in the whole country，the comprehensive development level of the logistics industry and the national economy have basically shown a steady rising trend；at the same time，although the higher coupling degree indicates that the coupling relationship and interaction effect between the two are better，and the coordination level of the coupling coordination degree shows the positive trend of transition from a moderate maladjustment that passes through a low maladjustment and eventually developed to the borderline maladjustment，the coupling coordination relationship is still not in a coordinated state；（3）In the investigation of different regions，it is found that the coordination levels of the coupling coordination degree between the logistics industry and national economy in the three regions also generally shows three stages：the moderate maladjustment，the low maladjustment and the borderline maladjustment； however，the eastern and central regions changed from the moderate maladjustment to the low maladjustment earlier，and the eastern region changed from the low maladjustment to the borderline maladjustment earlier，which indicates that there is regional heterogeneity in the coupling coordination relationship between the logistics industry and national economy，and the logistics industry and national economy in various regions are currently still on the state of borderline maladjustment；and it is also found that the marginal promoting effect of logistics industry on national economy in the eastern region is decreasing.
