A Study on Evaluation on the International Competitiveness of Certification and Accreditation of Countries along the Belt and Road
Abstract:Certification and accreditation is an important part of national quality infrastructure. It is called "physical examination certificate" of quality management,"letter of credit" of market economy and "pass check" of international trade. It plays an increasingly important role in improving product quality,promoting industrial structure upgrading,avoiding bilateral trade barriers,reducing trade clearance costs and promoting trade cooperation and development. Accordingly,the author selects the countries along the Belt and Road as a sample,and constructs the international competitiveness index system of the Belt and Road national certification and accreditation from the five dimensions of service competitiveness,regional competitiveness, international influence,innovation competitiveness and basic competitiveness. The author also studies the comparative advantages of these countries,and judge the pattern of the Belt and Road certification and accreditation. The conclusion of the study shows that the Belt and Road certification and accreditation pattern covers four camps: excellent competitiveness,potential competitiveness,growth competitiveness and sunken competitiveness. China is located in the excellent competitiveness camp, and has comparative advantages in terms of regional competitiveness,international influence and basic competitiveness. Since the introduction of the BRI,China has positively promoted the trade and economic cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road,and the bilateral certification,and signed the standardized agreement with such countries as Mongolia,Singapore,and Kazakhstan. The influence of China’s certification and accreditation will gradually reach every field of society and economy;and the capability and effect of service can be much more improved in the future.
