Customs breaks up smuggling gang

Customs officers have uncovered a gang smuggling plastic waste without paying taxes, Guangzhou Daily reported on Sunday. During a raid in August, officers came across the gang, which mainly operated in the Huangpu district of Guangzhou, the provincial capital. Nearly 2,000 metric tons of smuggled plastic bottles were confiscated.
