National Day marks victory over Japanese
Next Saturday will be observed as Victory Memorial Day to commemorate the Chinese War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. This means that China now has two National Days to mark the war against Japanese aggression — one to celebrate victory in the war and the other to commemorate the victims of the Nanjing Massacre (Dec 13). The decision to observe the National Days, marking the war of resistance against Japanese aggression was taken by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.
