Italy job would interest Buffon

-

Juventus goalkeeping legend Gianluigi Buffon could become a future coach of Italy after revealing he would consider helming the national team once he retires.

At 38, the 2006 World Cup winner is still going strong for both club and country at the tail end of what has been a hugely successful career.

“A club coaching role and all that it entails on a daily basis wouldn’t appeal to me,” Buffon said on Thursday. “But I wouldn’t exclude a national team coaching role. I would still be involved in the game but have some freedom to dedicate myself to other things.”
